What river?
PCART has a great start with help from leaders like David and Daucie, and volunteers like Carolyn and many others. I'm confident we can do even greater things for animals in need during an emergency. Two things that will help: stockpiles of disaster supplies and go-kits at key locations in Pierce County, and licensed ham radio operators among our very dedicated volunteers. P.S. I'll be changing my handle on this blog soon, as I am no longer employed by the Humane Society as of this Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBob, you are so right. Our needs are great and your ideas are valid. We do indeed need ham radio operators and we will move forward. Let me say that it is the quality volunteers like yourself that will bring to pass great things. All of the volunteers have such great devotion to this cause and I am so honored to know you are there. Thank you for all you are doing and please remain on the team. I am sad to hear about the employment situation.
